Wonderland Day Nursery, established in 2003, is a one hundred place setting that offers places for children from birth to five years of age. The nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday 52 weeks per year (excluding bank holidays)
Some of Our Facilities
Clever Cats
This room caters for children age 3 to 5 years. There are 3 spacious rooms which provide a home corner, maths area, music/listening station, messy play, sand, water, computer and a book/quiet area. The nursery is registered to deliver Nursery Education Funding (NEF) which entitles you to 15 hours of FREE childcare. (See nursery manager for further details) This unit also works towards the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum (EYFS). This curriculum is the same as a nursery school. Children will benefit from a higher staff to child ratio (8 children to 1 staff member). The Clever Cats room has its own entrance with an intercom system.
Alice’s Angels
These rooms cater for children age 2 to 3 years. They provide a range of play areas and activities that are aimed at promoting children's development. Children will have access to the messy play area, role play area, sand, water, construction, computer and the play loft. Again these rooms provide a warm and inviting atmosphere with carpeted areas and cleanable floor surface to accommodate a range of activities.
Alice’s Tots
These rooms cater for children age 2 to 3 years. They provide a range of play areas and activities that are aimed at promoting children's development. Children will have access to the messy play area, role play area, sand, water, construction, computer and the play loft. Again these rooms provide a warm and inviting atmosphere with carpeted areas and cleanable floor surface to accommodate a range of activities.
Little Bunnies
This room caters for children from approx 16 months to 2 years of age. It provides many play areas, including sand, water, role play, book/quiet area and plenty of space for physical play. The Little Bunnies room encourages children to develop their imagination and join in a range of activities including role play, construction, arts and crafts and promoting learning through play.
